- Immediately following your laser treatment you may experience minor redness or swelling of the skin, similar to mild sunburn. These are temporary effects and usually disappear within 12-24 hours.
- Cold packs or soothing aloe vera gel may be used to ease your discomfort.
- Avoid direct exposure to sunlight (natural or artificial) for a minimum of 48 hours after your treatment. If sun exposure can not be avoided, please cover up and use a sunblock with SPF 50.
- Do not bathe with very hot water until the area treated is free of inflammation. Quick warm (not hot) showers are recommended. Clean the treated areas with a mild soap gently and without scrubbing or using ex-foliating products or brushes. Keep skin moisturized. Avoid saunas, hot tubs, or any swimming for a minimum of 72 hours or until inflammation has resolved to prevent infection from developing in the treated area.
- Make up can be applied as long as the skin is neither irritated nor inflamed.
- Avoid any vigorous activities that can raise you body temperature or cause sweating for at least 24 hours after the procedure.
- NOTE: If you experience persistent pain or discomfort, significant redness, swelling, change in skin color (darkening or whitening of skin), scabbing or blistering of the skin, or any other symptoms that appear out of the ordinary, please notify our medical staff immediately.
